Video: Police Search for Men Who Stabbed Toronto Victim, Attempted to Steal His Property

Police in Toronto are searching for two suspects after one attacked a man in a downtown area with a knife and another tried to grab his property.

The victim was stabbed several times Tuesday evening, while the other man tried to take his belongings, the Toronto Police Service said.

The two men were walking on Queen Street West at a median when one of them approached the other, police said. One of the suspects punched the victim and then the second suspect, who had a knife, started to stab him, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition but was upgraded to stable condition Wednesday morning.

Police described both men as white and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. They were both last seen wearing blue or green jackets.

“On Thursday, 1/2/20, officers responded to a stabbing. The victim was found with stab wounds. The incident appears to be an unprovoked attack,” police said on Twitter.
