Arsenal will face Chelsea in the Women’s FA Cup final at London’s The Victoria Ground on Sunday. The match will air live on Sky Sports 2 and will be shown in the USA on ESPN3.

The game is Arsenal’s last to be broadcast on free-to-air TV and is being celebrated with the League Cup trophy on display in St George’s Park , the home of England’s national football centre.

Through seven games during the tournament, only the two top teams — Arsenal and Bristol Academy — played one another. But on Saturday, the knock-out stages proved unpredictable, with first WSL’s Birmingham City, then top ranked sides Manchester City and Manchester United all falling to lower league sides.

Two matches involving top teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, did not take place because of logistical issues relating to a heavy downpour at Chelsea’s home stadium.

On Saturday, Premier League sides Manchester City and Liverpool — the pair that top the 2018 WSL and Uefa Women’s Champions League table respectively — both lost to lower league teams, with Liverpool falling to non-league side Cambridge United.

Arsenal and Chelsea’s opposite poles of WSL mean that neither team will feature on UEFA’s official list of club sides for the Women’s Champions League proper.
